At Grow Together Initiative, everything we do is guided by a set of core beliefs about young people, money, and community. These values shape our programs, our partnerships, and the way we show up for kids, teens, and young adults every single day. They are also our promise to every family we serve.
Financial Literacy Changes Lives
We believe understanding money is one of the most important life skills a young person can learn. When youth know how to budget, save, build credit, and invest, they gain far more than financial knowledge. They develop confidence, independence, responsibility, and the ability to make informed decisions that shape their entire future. A young person who understands money is better prepared for every stage of life that follows.
Every Young Person Deserves the Opportunity
Access to financial education should not depend on a zip code, a school district, or a family’s circumstances. We believe every kid, teen, and young adult deserves practical, engaging financial education and the encouragement to use it. That is why GTI works to keep our programs welcoming, relevant, and open to youth from all backgrounds.
Mentorship Multiplies Potential
Knowledge matters most when it is paired with guidance. We believe in the power of caring adults who listen, encourage, and share hard-won experience. Our mentors help young people navigate challenges, explore careers, and discover possibilities in themselves they may never have seen on their own. That is why mentorship is woven into nearly everything we do, from scholarship pairings to career workshops.
